
Jefferson Memorial Survey
Three individuals, including one newly trained professional, conduct a survey in and around the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C., in the Fall of 2014. Within approximately one hour, the memorial has been fully surveyed and a background map generated, providing public safety officials a baseline from which to thwart terrorist radiological attacks.
Lincoln Memorial Survey
Three individuals conduct a survey of the Lincoln Memorial, Reflecting Pool and Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C., in the Fall of 2014. Note the slightly “warmer” coloration of the Vietnam War Memorial due to the high granite composition. This does not reflect a danger, but shows that not all radiological background is the same all the time.
National Mall Survey
